Having just flogged off a mint condition Super Match RE by Shimano to Big Dave, I was immediatelly informed by my Grandson that..... " That was my reel Grandad.... you said I could have it !!! "
As Dave is an ex soldier with lethal skills, I am unable to wrestle the reel back from him... so I am in the market for a new ( second hand ) comparable Shimano match reel.

Anyone got a lifesize manikin or scarecrow... or any arty farty types out there willing to knock up a couple of dummies ( I am willing to model for the dummy ).
Despite the Cormorants seemingly fearless attitude towards humans, I am going to try out a dummy fisherman on some of our harder hit waters.
Any advice welcomed.

Hi Guys
The pesky meeces have munched my old and new 42inch carp landing nets. I have set traps and marmalized the little wotsits.
I have my eyes set on a superduper Fox net, but funds are short at the moment, so anyone with an old but sound 42 incher at a reasonable price, please get in touch.

I'm now the proud owner of a sexy olive green 42 incher..... which is of course the kiss of death for catching a big old Batchworth Carp... I have been assured by "those who know" that new nets need to be run in for six months before being wetted.... we shall see !!!!

Wanted, a wet suit to be used for clearing out flotsam on the river Colne.
Tatty as you like , but leak free please.
Must be large enough to encapsulate my jelly belly fat bum.... so LARGE size please.

Sorry I cannot help with a wet suit but if you try any local water sports centre they may be able to help. Also it may be worth having a chat with the ski club they or one of their members may some kit that could be of use.

It's quite amazing how sometimes you can not see the wood for the trees. I talk to the ski club lads at least once a week and it never crossed my mind to ask about a wet suit.
Incidentally, Alan Bailey quite rightly pointed out that a dry suit may be even better !!
